In cooperation with Philips Lighting, Bender + Wirth develops a new lamp cap for discharge- and incandescent lamps for medium wattages. The highly successful Fast-Fit-System was applied, which allows an easy relamping through the back of the fixture and through the lampholder. The fixture does not need to be opened or disassembled.

The Bender + Wirth socket features in addition to the above mentioned Systemadvantages the following benefits:

• The internal mica plate supports a very accurate horizontal and vertical positioning of the lamp.
  
  
• The patented contact reduces the required insertion forces dramatically. The correct insertion is confirmed by a recognizable click-sensation.
  
  
• The lateral contact configuration allows a much shorter and compacter fixture design.
  
  
• Full ceramic housing allows an operating temperature of 350 º C.
